PGA SOMPO, in collaboration with Fostering Education and Environment for Development, Inc. (FEED) – a non-government organization which supports sustainable education and ridge to reef planting, successfully planted 240 Philippine native trees at the UP Sierra Madre Land Grants.
"The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago; the second best time is now," said Laguna Quezon Land Grant Site Manager, Forester Rey Lorida, reminding us that it's never too late to act against climate change.
As part of FEED's Ridge to Reef Program, this CSR initiative highlights the restoration of upland forests and coastal ecosystems, fostering biodiversity, preventing landslides, and mitigating flood risks. It serves as a powerful reminder that protecting the environment requires collective effort, dedication, and a shared vision for a greener future.
Every tree matters, and we are dedicated to making a positive impact, one tree at a time.
