Claims Assistant

Job description:

 

  1. Record and evaluate documents to ensure processing of simple claims in accordance with policy conditions, clauses, and warranties.
  2. Ensure fair and reasonable evaluation based on the Company’s and regulating bodies’ policies, procedure and guidelines.
  3. Provide recommendation for the settlement of claims for review of the Claims Officer and approval of Claims Manager.
  4. Provide assistance in corresponding with claimants, reinsurers, brokers and business parties to achieve effective resolution of claim issues.
  5. Maintain and ensure organized claim filing system and storage.
  6. Prepare ad-hoc claims report.
  7. Perform other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

 

Job skills and requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 2-year claims working experience from non-life insurance company or insurance adjustment company
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge in systematic filing
  • Good communication skills
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • High level of integrity and credibility
