    FAQ’s on Claim

    1. What to do in case of an accident?
    • Keep calm and take photos of the damaged vehicle/s including whole unit and its plate no. In addition, get the contact details of the third party involved, if any
    • Any accident must be promptly reported as soon as practicable to PGA Sompo Insurance Corporation giving all details by way of email, online registration and/or telephone call
    • File a report to the nearest Police Station or Traffic Management Group in case of a third party bodily injury, theft, third party property damage or other major damages

     

    1. Do I need to file for a Police Report and/or Traffic Report in case of any accident?
      Obtaining Police or Traffic Report is necessary under the following cases:
    • Any third party injury or death due to an accident involving your vehicle
    • Any third party property damage
    • Theft of the vehicle
    • Theft of accessories, stereo-recorders, other vehicle parts
    • Any loss or damage to the vehicle by miscreants, rioters, terrorists, arsonists, etc

     

    1. What should I do in case of theft?
    • Immediately report to the nearest Police Station and to PGA Sompo Insurance Corporation

     

    1. What should I do if someone makes a claim against me?
    • Do not make any admissions and any attempt to settle the claim made without our knowledge
    • Immediately report the claim
    • Get the third party’s contact number and involved third party vehicle’s details

     

    1. Where can I have my unit repaired?
    • You can have your vehicle repaired or estimated at any decent Repair Shop registered under BIR nearest to your location
    • Final repair cost is subject to PGA Sompo's review and approval based on the terms and conditions of the policy.

     

    1. Will the claim affect my renewal?
    • Yes, you will lose your No Claim Bonus (NCB) that you have benefited for years

     

    1. How long will it take to process a claim?
    • Normally, it takes 5-8 days after submission of all the documents. This also depends on the type of loss, damage and nature of accident

     

    1. If I choose to have the unit repaired to a shop then paid the shop in advance, will PGA Sompo Insurance Corporation reimburse me?
    • Yes, but subject to submission of supporting documents and terms and conditions of the policy

    2. What to do in case of an accident?

      • Must be promptly reported as soon as possible by verbal advice to PGA Sompo Insurance Corporation giving all details. Thereafter, the verbal report must be followed by a formal advice to be sent thru fax or E-Mail.

     

    3. What are the documents needed to file a claim?

    • Loss / Damage Golf Club / Equipment Accessories
      • Claim form
      • Original Purchase / Repair Invoice
      • Colored Pictures of Damaged Golf Club
      • Police report (for burglary / house breaking / larceny/theft)
    • Liability to Public
      • Claim form
      • Police Report
      • All correspondences and other related documents from the third party
        (Demand letter & Official receipts, etc)Liability to Public
    • Personal Accident
      • Claim form
      • Original Medical Receipts / Bills
      • Original Medical Certificate
    • Hole-in-one
      • Claim form
      • Original Scorecard signed by the Insured, his Golf Partners (Minimum of 3 Players except for tournament) and Caddy (listed in Club’s Rosters)
      • The Caddy’s name, address and mobile number
      • The original Golf Club’s acknowledgment of the Hole-in-one
        (Hole-in-One Certificate)

      Note : PGA Sompo may request for additional information or documents if found necessary for the evaluation of claim

    4.  In case of Hole-In-One Claim, can the Insured get the Original Scorecard and Certificate?

      • The Insured will submit the Original documents as the standard procedure of Insurance and proof of their claim but upon settlement we can give back the Original Scorecard and Certificate to the Insured.

     

    5. How much can I receive as claim payment?

      • Insurance always follow the contract/policy, thus claim payment will not exceed on the policy limit and always subject to its terms and conditions.

     

    6.  How long will it take to process a claim?

    • Normally, it takes 5-8 days after submission of all the documents.
